On Sunday night, dozens of filmmakers (mostly everyone not associated with Movie 43) will go home with the most prestigious honor in the industry: an Academy Award. That’s all well and good, but these days good filmmaking can get you much better prizes than an Oscar.
For example: How about a free Blueprint LSAT Prep course?
Starting tomorrow on the Blueprint LSAT Prep Facebook page, you can submit a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) on the dangers of self-studying for the LSAT, and in a month we’ll give away a free Blueprint LSAT Prep course to whomever submits the best one. Second place wins a $400 voucher off a Blueprint LSAT Prep course, and third place wins a Blueprint LSAT Prep t-shirt and keychain. But really, it’s an honor just to be nominated.
Self-studying for the LSAT can lead to a poor LSAT score, which can lead to a rejection from law school, which can only lead to a life of crime. If only more people knew this, they too could avoid the same fate. That’s why we’re giving away a free LSAT prep course to whomever can best warn others of the dangers of self-studying (as well as the benefits of using Blueprint) in the form of a 30-second PSA.
The video contest is called “Shoot a PSA, Win a Free LSAT Prep Course” and will run until March 20. But it’s to your advantage to submit early, because as soon as your anti-self-study PSA is approved, it can start accumulating votes. Then the best PSA will be picked by Blueprint principals for the grand prize of a free Blueprint LSAT Prep course. Check out the rules page for more details.
Ideally, your PSA should be as funny as it is effective. Creativity is key. If you’re looking for ideas, here are a few examples of actual PSAs:
If you have any questions, feel free to fire away in the comments. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing your PSAs — which you can upload tomorrow. So show the world why self-studying for the LSAT is a dangerous ordeal, and you could win yourself a free LSAT prep course because “you like us…you really like us.”
