In the investigation into Trump and Russia, special counsel Eric Mueller brought in the New York attorney general, which is significant because Trump – who, like a child who just learned the word “no,” is obsessed with his newly discovered pardon power – cannot pardon those convicted of state crimes. C. Mueller’s also looking into the first draft of Trump’s letter regarding the firing of James Comey. Washington Post

D. In international law news, the Kenyan Supreme Court declared the election of sitting President Uhuru Kenyatta unconstitutional, and ordered a new trial. A little odd, since international watchers declared the election fair, but celebrations nonetheless erupted among the supporters of the opposition candidate Raila Odinga. Maybe the Kenyan Supreme Court can help us out over here? CNN

E. Trump was expected to end the DACA program that protected undocumented immigrants who came to America as children today, but at this moment has not. Could the torrent of letters from university presidents have helped? (Probably not). The Atlantic
