One Week Until LSAT Registration Deadline!

One week. We’re not talking Barenaked Ladies. Or Buster Keaton. Or even Joshua Jackson (although here at Blueprint HQ, we’re always talking Joshua Jackson… ducks fly together, yo).

No, we’re talking about the regular registration deadline for the September LSAT (the late registration deadline is September 5th, which will cost you an extra $70 smackeroos).

You have one more week to decide whether it’s time to take the plunge and sign up, or whether you’re better off waiting until the December exam. If you’re not sure that this is the moment, here’s something to consider.

One of the most important things we recommend for students to consider when signing up for the LSAT is choosing the right test center. Every year we hear horror stories about cramped or noisy locations, bad proctors, and spontaneous human combustion (okay, maybe not). So make sure you know where you want to take your LSAT.

This close to the deadline, the ideal test center may be full. If that’s the case, you have a couple of options:

Sign up for a remote test center. You’ll have to travel a little bit, but if you can lock down a good spot, that might actually be a benefit. Driving to a testing location you wouldn’t ordinarily consider and grabbing a hotel room the night before the test will remove the distractions of home, and let you focus on acing your LSAT.

Sign up now and change your location later. In addition to being the late registration deadline, September 5th is also one of the last days potential test-takers can push back or withdraw from their test for a full refund (there are slightly later options if you move/cancel online). You can use this deadline to your advantage by calling in and scooping up a spot vacated by another registrant.

Either way, if you’re dead set on registering for the September LSAT, the time is nigh. Quit procrastinating, get over to the LSAC website, and get registered!
